• Process Optimization
Integration to Lionbridge’s Vendor DB, invoicing system, translation/QA processes following the acquisition of Exequo by the Lionbridge group in 2017
Optimization and standardization of translation, QA and internal processes: style guide and tutorial creation; CAT tools standardization; schedule management; archiving system
Collaboration with R&D for the development of new QA tools
• Budgeting & Accounting
Responsibility for ensuring profitability of the Translation Department
Oversight and tracking of purchase orders for external costs
Collaborating with accounts and service providers for invoice tracking
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Project budgeting and budget tracking, analysis of resource requirements, project-cycle scheduling, trouble-shooting
• Selection and management of in-house or freelance team of translators and proofreaders suited for the project
• Negotiating deadlines and establishing task based translation and proofreading schedules
• Creation and management of French style guides and instructions specific to each project
TRANSLATION & EDITING SKILLS
• Localization of UI, scripts (dubbed or subtitled), marketing texts, website content, trailers, press releases...
• Editing & Review of translated contents to ensure quality, stylistic and terminological consistency and market suitability
• Terminology: creating/updating of TB, glossaries and TM
• QA: QA checks, Q&A regression, bug-fixing, compliance with style guides
